Talk about delicious baked potatoes!! Omg Pappy's Spuds and more is so awesome. First off we met Pappy and he's an awesome guy! His food was so good!!! We got The Elton, The Big Joe, a Plain baked potato with Peppers and onions and finally the Baked Potato Soup!! Only snapped a couple photos, but always wanting to go back! He's in Oakhurst on Monday and Tuesday and Fridays in Coursegold! Check him out and enjoy an amazing meal! Oh and while waiting we got a couple Giant Otter Pops!!
It was really great food i definitely recommend for everyone to try and enjoy. The owner is really nice and kind, knows his way around a kitchen and makes great baked potatoes!
We are new in town and were looking for a non-fast-food or a non-chain place to grab dinner. This place popped up and we gave it a try on a whim. Great customer service, really enjoyed that!! Wait time felt a little long but we had a large order and were starving so the time stood still and each minute counted for two in our hungry minds. Not knocking any stars for that because, objectively, four orders were complete in under 10 minutes. Food itself: great concept, fun variety and good flavors. We ordered loaded potatoes - Chicken Alfredo, Elton and Bronx varieties. All tasted good, large portions, good toppings. Good. Not great. I didn't quite feel it was worth $12 per order in terms of flavors. If it cost $8, I would feel like we robbed the place. If it cost $10, I'd say it was a good deal. At $12, the ingredients lacked ever so slightly. Maybe because at home I get my potato super crispy and my steak has char on it, with butter dripping and sour scream popping. I would describe my steak as slightly soggy. Not tough. Not old. Soggy. Bacon on the Elton didn't have the crisp. Maybe because of all the other goodies it soaked in. So overall it would say 4 stars and that's because we are extremely picky when it comes to food. Would we eat there again? Yes, for sure. But not every week.
We ate the Bronx and the Elton spuds. Both were really good, potatoes were perfect with crispy well seasoned skins. My husband had a small cup of the trinity chili, then went back for another cup.
The potatoes are properly done. Good spuds start with good potatoes and even baking. These guys are new and really good. Try their half dome. I had their Bronx with steak. It was amazing. After I had the food they were asking for feedback about how to make it better.
